Share your Centennial ideas
The Oklahoma 4-H Centennial Celebration kicked off at State Roundup this year, and now the celebration is in full swing. Share your ideas and comments with others around the state by posting them here!
Oklahoma City State Fair Centennial classes
Well - we weren't sure what we would be getting at the Oklahoma City State Fair this year as far as Centennial exhibits go. We were really elated and surprised to discover that we had received 167 entries!
From original project work to historic photos to jewelry and everything in between, our two judges had lots of items to sort through. In our alumni division, we received lots of record books, including some that had won national record book competitions in their day and a well-preserved record book from 1933.
All of these entries showed to us that Centennial classes are going to be really promising - so much that we decided to continue the Centennial classes through 2010!
So, keep digging out those artifacts and pieces of memorabilia. Encourage your family and friends to find 4-H items to enter in the fairs. Get the word out and celebrate Oklahoma 4-H!
